What happens at a Sahaja Yoga class?

There is usually a short introduction to Sahaja Yoga at beginner’s level, followed by an introduction to meditation and a meditation workshop. sahaja yoga workshop

Are the classes really free?

Yes, absolutely free. Sahaja Yoga is a registered charity in the UK.

Do I have to pre-book or register?

No, you can come and go as you like. No need to come every week if you don't want to.

What if I have a bad back or if I’m unfit?

Sahaja Yoga does not involve any strenuous physical exercise. It is about meditation and, at these classes, is generally done whilst sitting comfortably on a chair.

Do I need to wear anything special or bring a yoga mat?

No. We don’t wear any special clothes and you will not need a yoga mat as we sit on a chair.

When is the next class that I can attend?

Sahaja Yoga local classes take place regularly every week. You can come any week you choose and all classes start at beginner’s level. You don’t have to wait until a particular week to start.

How long does a class last?

About 1 hour to 1.5 hours

Who runs the classes?

Experience practitioners who do not get paid for helping others to learn. Sahaja Yoga is a registered charity.

What is the point of attending a local Sahaja Yoga class?

Most people report that they progress faster by attending these classes and the experience is more enjoyable.
